My entire friend group seems to be going back to its horror days right now. My Mexican friend is listening to The Magnus Archives on recommendation from my friend in Bangladesh, and I'm writing Dracula fanfic.

The fic is called (working title) There But For The Grace Of God We Go, and the plot is that Johnathan accidentally manages to kill Dracula during the shovel incident (I don't think he would've been able to kill Dracula intentionally then, I don't think that I'd have the strength to kill my abuser in his sleep either so there's that) and due to some kind of ancient weird omegaversey Eastern vampire tradition weirdness ends up inheriting Dracula's lands and title by right of conquest. Johnathan is not happy about any of this and chaos predictably ensues as he tries to turn Castle Dracula and its surrounding lands around into a profitable holding, recover from the abuse he endured there while being stuck there, and figure out what the hell he and Mina are going to do about their three nosy vampire roommates.

It's half crack and half serious and I don't know which direction it'll lean in more.

I LOVE that you're writing Dracula fanfiction, and honestly, it sounds like so much fun. Idk how I'd feel about inheriting my abusers lands and being made to live on it, personally, but at least he gets a sickass castle? Maybe? I'm sure it'll be fine, Jonathan, at least Mina is with you.

yeah johnathan is definitely not enthused about inheriting this place either. he just wants away from here, poor man. but alas, nooo. and yeah, he does get a sickass castle. and mina is there, and the rest of the squad will be if i can figure out how to bring them.

The plot sounds amazing *O* Poor Jonathan, he's been monkey pawed so badly: he got the super cool Gothic castle, but he also accidentally ~~adopted~~ acquired three vampire weirdos XD

yeah he's going to have to get them to pay rent in something other than murders . . .
